Hey, looks like a feeding? - Every time I leave I seem to miss something. Can't see much with her back to us, but lots of bobbing up & down, some little white mouths popping up at times - looks like lunch to me!  8)

Yes, quite a lot of wind and camera shaking.  Princess is digging a trench again!  Maybe she is looking at get the little ones hunkered down in it so they don't blow away!

I must have missed a shift change, seems to be Princess on again (Trey sure doesn't hang around long!) The wind gets under her tail feathers & she's had a few close calls almost tumbling over. I guess facing away from the wind protects the chicks better...but not 'Mom'  :o

Tech note:

We had some May 29th observations on another thread so I have merged them into this one.  Falconista, Grelber and Ballywing have been kind enough to provide play-by-plays as they can see what's going on!

Please DO NOT post technical questions/discussions here as we are repeated ourselves on different threads.  I have moved website-related posts to the "Technical Questions" board - look under "May 29 - Website Problems".

Thanks!

You are welcome gang, managed to get to the Radisson to change the camera angle a smidge.  Eye-spy's accountant friend is a good source for information on the camera, and yes, we will be installing the remote manipulatin software so that I can move the camera from wherever I happen to be.  I will post an update when we are working on it so y'all don't panic if/when you should see the image moving.

FYI - I don't work anywhere near the Hotel, so when things have to be adjusted on-site, it will take me some time to get away from work and get down there.  Also, I didn't move the camera yesterday because until the birds settle a bit after hatching, you can't tell where they are going to be.

For those of you who haven't seen the new view yet because of the website problem, you'll like it when you finally do, don't worry.  And Ballywing has been providing play-by-play coverage from her office window on the "We have Chicks" thread .

Shift Change! - Princess is off for a break, leaving a squirming bundle of chicks alone for a few secs - Trey enters stage left, pokes & inspects a bit, then manoevers himself to cover his babies for the next while. Some shoving required to get them all under!! - Sort of a sideways view, chicks seem to be covered - just a little fluff sticking out.  ;D - Cloudy & quite breezy now, hope the rain stays away!  :o

Don't know if you have managed to get out of your "tower" today Ballywing, so just thought I would add that the temperature outside is perfect, not too warm, not cool.  As for the rain, its not forecasted to be much, so Princess and Trey should have no problem keeping the chicks dry.

Finally a shift change! Trey has taken over for Princess but he doesn't appear to have any food for the chicks. He's just kind of looking at the little squirming fluff balls like he can't decide if he wants to sit down or not. I guess its hard to get them all under him since he's not as big as Princess. After a bit of wiggling he seems to have them all under (for the most part).

Wow the camera is really shaking up there! Looks like an earthquake or something! Hopefully no one blows away!

Still appears as though Princess is on duty. Haven't seen a shift change yet but I've been away from the computer for a bit so maybe I missed something.

Hope they all stay warm.  There's talk of a thunderboomer this afternoon and from the looks of the clouds outside I'd say they're probably right.

Hm, well hope it's fixed soon for you guys!! Princess (I think it's her) is sitting up a little higher so the fluffy butts are sticking out again.  ;D So cute!  ;) Oh never mind, all tucked away again. The wind seems to be picking up a bit.  ::)

Nope, not a non-local issue.  I've been trying since I got into work this morning and can't access either the web cam or the webpage, other than the mobile version they have up now.  And I'm definately in Winnipeg too.  Also know that IT hasn't made any adjustments here at work since I'm basically the IT department here. hehehe.  I'm hoping they fix it soon, I'd really like to see how Princess, Trey and the babies are all doing.

Maybe it's a 'Non-Local' problem?  ??? I'm in Wpg and camera has been fine all morning. ? Princess just finished scooping a bunch of gravel towards her, made a little ridge to lean on I guess. Chicks are hidden from view now, nicely tucked away.  8)
