1045 hours - one of hte little sweethearts is on the vent on the nestledge, just sitting in the sun. Gauging size from this angle is difficult but I think it is Trey if only because the head looks too solidly black for Princess (if it is Princess
). Assuming it is Trey, can't see the female anywhere on the east side. I have noted a very little mess on one of their favourite dining locations which is a good sign as well that things are progressing as they should.
Just as a note, it has been 13 days since they returned to the 'Peg. Last year Trey arrived on the 31st and they had their first egg on the ledge on the 19th. So if I were a betting biologist, I'd say sometime after the 10th of April. That's assuming their little tryst last night wasn't their first but that they took a few days "off" after arriving before their inner bunnies took hold of them. (All of Winterpeg is giddy today as it is sunny and warm and windless
)
