Must have been Trey hanging around earlier.  Moments before Princess' arrival, there was a dark glossy head visible as the parent was rearranging the pebbles OUTSIDE the box.  Had to be Trey!

Princess has just arrived with a good sized snack, and all the little ones were up from their naps and starting to wonder what to do nest.  They are being so good for this feeding, sitting in a row waiting their turn.  Ooops, now the closest one has decided to be greedy and is stretching out for every bite Mom offers.

I have not been able to get into site.
2 chicks standing  and one sleeping
so cute.
I like the idea that they can not wander around yet.

Is it Trey on the grate, showing only a tail tip?

Trey drifted by for a brief chick check a little while ago. A little beak touch, some tidying up and then on his way.  No doubt there is more housekeeping to be done elsewhere on the ledge.  ;D

one bobs up, stretches, big yawn, wide-eyed, then falls back asleep, the wonderful life of a baby...no cares, no worries, just a full crop and the peaceful knowledge that mommy & daddy will take care of everything.

Well now, Skypilot, gotta tell ya that we have our own special perigrine language that may overlap or conflict with real stuff. So a face plant here means a bunch of chicks so stuffed that they fall down face first on the gravel, wings splayed, dead to the world. Know nothing about the sking world ( other that a trip to Sunshine a few years ago ).
You'll get used to us and the funny way we talk soon enough ;D
Actually, I am somewhat used to you all, and thought a little humor wouldn't hurt.  As for a face plant, I would call it a neck or full gullet plant :o
