even for those of us who watched!   great to relive that.

nice to see the last remnants of the swing stage going away.  hopefully P or T will show up soon.  kids are totally conked out.

I remember Ben Casey Kinderchick.
the last grade I taught was a 1/2 split so I know how your kids would be excited
Now for the slide shows and I have to skidaddle
I put words on the tops of most picutres so you could see what was happening. I could not snap as many as I wanted as I would lock up. will learn video for next year.sorry I missed the shot of the guys by the picnic tables. My computer just froze and I was ticked.

there are 13 picutres in first slideshow and 16 picutres in the second one. I split it up so it would not appear as long
and Happy Birthday LM

And now I just found CBC radio on the radio so now I listen to this til pchemist comes on , I hope.

well that will be a while.  they aren't due to call me for 2 hours and 10 minutes.  and I may be on hold a while then, till they get me on - don't know.  she just said it would be "the first hour" of the show - whatever show it is...

I vaguely recall Tracy saying she didn't like gloves because she wanted a better feel for holding the chicks.  I can understand that - but I do know she's gotten her fair share (and then some!) of injuries in the process!

Kinderchick, it is wonderful those kids were there with you having a picnic and watching the banding!  the other kids will be jealous for sure!

Yes! I did notice one of the little chicks appeared to claw at Tracy with it's talons. I was actually surprised that she was not wearing gloves. And yes, pmg, it is wonderful to work with the very youngest of children in the school system. Glad that your grandkids have been able to follow all the falcon excitement with you! :D

Wow, now we can all breathe again. I'm okay with the heights, the going up and down, but would have been pretty scared of the beaks and talons. Grabbing one of the chicks with bare hands would have me thinking twice - or fifty million times twice. Great to see the banding. Way to go Tracy! And pchemist on the radio! Too much for one day!

I think...that if the bites drew blood in past banding/lessons, they'd be wearing gloves for the current class! lol!
I'm sure it's more of a beak butt or beak cocoa bong!  than actual biting, and grabby vs. rippy I thinks.... :P

YES, it was GREAT!  ;D They were SO thrilled to have a picnic lunch with their teacher and to see the banding, as well, eagle! By the way, is there anyone on the Forum who's old enough to remember the old "Ben Casey" TV show from the 60's?!  ??? It was a medical show, much like ER and Ben Casey was a doctor... Well, to the point, I'm glad that I remembered the opening of that TV show because it always started like this: "Man, woman, birth, death, infinity" and would show the symbols. So when I saw TPC mark the buckets with the male and female symbols so that we would know the boys from the girl, I thought, "Hooray for Ben Casey!" ;D

I'm sure the Parents are perched somewhere watching and see that the chicks are okay
