Wow, now we can all breathe again. I'm okay with the heights, the going up and down, but would have been pretty scared of the beaks and talons. Grabbing one of the chicks with bare hands would have me thinking twice - or fifty million times twice. Great to see the banding. Way to go Tracy! And pchemist on the radio! Too much for one day!

Was anyone able to see Princess and Trey much during all this?  They must be very frustrated/concerned not to have access for a while.

Wonderful, amazing, breath-taking, awesome...

TPC your knees must be so sore! I kept watching you moving around on that gravel, you probably have sores and scars, especially when the third one grabbed you with a talon!

A job superlatively well done!

Anyone seen P or T yet? I'd have thought they'd want to make sure chicks are okay. Or are they going to stay away until the ropes are gone? ???

Great to hear you had some kinderchicklet company. My grand girls were here for a sleepover and we checked on the chicks before they headed off to school. They were wondering what the 'string' on the pic was. I'll be able to give them a play by play when I see them again. I guess you have a very fun job working with kids.

Yes, my computer went crazy right after the banding, as well, bev. Had to close down and re-boot. Sure glad it didn't happen during the banding!  :o And the good news is that 2 of the Kinderchicklets got to watch the banding LIVE with me as we ate our lunches together in my classroom...  ;D They don't normally stay for lunch, but it was "hot lunch day" for the rest of the classes, so their moms were helping out. I just happened to run down the hall to use the washroom prior to the banding and I saw them perched in the hallway, eating their lunches. So I invited them back to have a picnic with me, on the classroom carpet, while we watched the banding. Sure was fun to have them there to share the excitement with!!! ;D

Happy B-day LM.......you had the bessst birthday present of all!

Everything was amazing. TPC's ascent and, even more scary, her descent. The banding procedure happened so quickly causing the least possible stress for chicks and parents.

Now I can't wait to see the pictures. Thanks Dennis, in advance!

Saw TPC getting back onto the swing rig, reminded me of getting into a canoe. Yup, a canoe 13 stories in the air.

TPC you are our COURAGEOUS leader.

My computer cut out just as they were zooming the city. Needless to say the air was blue here.
I rebooted and what seemed like hours I saw the banding.

I saw the picnic tables and probably Dennis .I will prepare 2 sideshows. part one and part 2. Sorry I missed the shot of the picnic tables.
One chick glued to the corner and the other 2 just watching the ropes go away

I am so in awe  of TRacy and crew.
You did that  with  such compassion. A well thought out polan of attack and the chicks did not appear stressed at all. And CBC gets their bit and no big hullabaloo. Good on You. Very impressed.
So impressed I will make another donate
slide shows coming and then I better skedaddle.

I'm sure P&T are flying around and making sure all is safe again, but I wish one of them would show up so I can go!

Doesn't take as long to take the thing down as it does preparing it to go up.  But they have to be sure the securing it right too.
