Whoo hoo!!! Is that Trey who's come back? And what on earth is that down below the ledge- a sandpile? Could that be TPC'S sandbox that we're seeing?! ??? (LOL)

Finally, mom showed up.  There is so much activity around there right now, what with a truck dumping a load of sand or gravel, the ropes, all the action with the chicks - I think mom is thinking, "what the... is going on here?!"

Very funny, Saoirse! ;D And how sweet that you saw a male Goldfinch bringing it's youngsters to your feeder, during the banding, willmax! Makes us look at all birds differently, doesn't it?

Just as the banding was taking place what do I see out my window but the Male
Goldfinch bringing two youngsters to my feeder. LOL
One even tried to fly at my window which is at arms length,
so close I could have touched it. No damage thankfully.

Ah ha! 2 "old birds" who also remember Ben Casey... bev and Saoirse! Glad to see I'm not alone!  ;D I should start a new thread called "Ben Casey"! ;D ;D ;D

Either that or "The Other Old Birds"!

Still no sign of a parent, but the chicks certainly look unperturbed -- love the little guy propped up in the north corner. Nothing like sleep to help you recover from a major ordeal!

Yep, Kinderchick, I remember Ben Casey too -- nothing like dating ourselves! And I wanted to say, too, that your little chicklets are very luck to have a teacher like you.

I know bccs accepted the challenge, I think eagle said she would be donating at another time.  I will try to work it in though!

They are calling me at 3:40pm your time, I assume I will be on shortly after that.

What time did she say you were going to be on, Pchemist? If it's the radio show that I'm thinking of, then I think it's called "Up to Speed" with Beverly Watt. And here's a great idea for fund-raising... I noticed on another thread yesterday, that you mentioned that you would match the amount of money that the Kinderchicklets collected, up to $50.00 (CAD) Well, we're now up to $33.00. So if the opportunity presents itself, why not mention this challenge from the Kinderchicklets on the radio?! Let me know what you think. And "thank you" for responding to the challenge of the Kinderchicklets!  ;D Someone else offered the same as you but I can't remember who. I will have to check back on that thread.
