I haven't heard a thing from TPC about the fledge watch - don't know if anybody else has - so I have no idea whether I'm expected to be down there tomorrow or not. Plus my computer keeps crashing. I hope it gets over its hissy fit nonsense because I'd hate to be absent when I should be there, all because I didn't get the message.

I was reading that the parents bait the chicks with prey when they are ready to fly, so maybe we will see them do this. 8)

And where is Dennis when we need him to take pics of that?  That would be soooo cool to see. Dontcha think? Thanks for sharing that RCF!!!!

TPC likely PM'd all the fledge watchers, but I'm interested in knowing.... who will be down there, how many at a time, and for how long ?  Will you wave every hour, on the hour?
Did you get another list of what to bring from TPC, as for the field trip to Brandon?

this is normal guys, think of a cliff.

Yeah, I know that the rest of their lives will be much scarier than this -- but, bccs, are you saying that it doesn't send your heart into your throat?

Of course is does Saorise. But TPC said in a couple of places that they must have the the natural ability to grow and survive. If the chicks are unable to instinctively do that, then this is a part of the gene pool that is not encouraged. Sounds cruel, but makes ultimate sense.
It's nature and while we personify the chicks, we must be aware that nature, not out hearts rule.
( yup i'm just as scared for the chicks as the rest of you, just have to let logic rule.Keeps me sane. ;D ;D )

Vesper on the vent, one boy in far corner other beside him on ledge - boy decides to join him - oh, boy not much room - okay - now one who just stepped up does a turn around - still fine - one who was up there 1st strolls along ledge to Point Trey.  All's well.

. maybe we're all just getting too protective of them now that they'll be leaving the nest in the next short while.

Guilty!

It's getting dark  - come on kids - what's wrong with a chick pile up against the wall? Do you really need to run and flap on that ledge at this time of night?  :o I guess our chicks are growing up.

Ooooh . . . great wing span there as corner chick spread his wings. Like Nibs, I'm not really comfortable with two of them so close together on the edge of the ledge . . . maybe we're all just getting too protective of them now that they'll be leaving the nest in the next short while.

One on the drain cover, two on the ledge corner, contemplating life and fledging, all is well, for now! :)

Didn't see the "poop" shot.....maybe it was just "sis" preening.  I noticed that whenever she flaps her wings etc there is always a shower of white fluff.  Just wish that one of the brothers would quit tight rope walking from one end of the ledge to the other.

I don't like it when they get so close to eachother on the ledge..afraid one will knock the other off... :o

Did anyone else just see that? Was that a poop shot from above? hit the poor chick!

Sometimes when I see them sitting so still like that I think how boring that must be and then I remember that I have spent a very large portion of today sitting on my a** watching them and haven't been bored at all! ::)

LOL...never thought of it that way, but so true ;)

All three must be tired out, they all seem to be pretty much winding down from their busy day of wing flapping.
