I think I read some where in the forum that if a chick needed to be re-released they would do it from the west nest box.
It is high and has easy access for Tracy.
Boy the female has really been doing some serious wing flapping the last little while.  She has such a wide wing span.
The male is just sitting in the far bottom corner watching.

I don't think they would return them to the ledge in any case.  Even if they had the funds for a swing stage, the sight of it would frighten the two remaining young and they'd panic and take off before they were ready.  Which would be a bad situation all around.

That's what I meant, just had not heard any info on that plan.
TPC said that they would not be renting the swing again this year.

I think any that require R&R chicks would necessarily need to be returned to the penthouse as the ledge is - effectively - inaccessible without a lot of planning and money to get a swing stage setup and operating.

Let's hope he has landed on a lower window ledge and is being cared for by the
 parents.

Seems we pretty much saw and did the exact same thing, though I was only half seeing because my chick needed some attention. Saw the food drop off and the tussle, recounted the heads, zoomed in on the ledge, and scrubbed back through the video, but the video timeline was reset with the refresh and I couldn't re-watch (with both eyes) the flight.

Honestly, I'm not sure.  They had all been flapping like crazy and then they stopped and then suddenly the male that was standing right on the very corner where the 'v' is just took flight...no pre-flapping, just lifter his wings and pushed off and sailed off...I was gob-smacked (as my British friends would say).  And I thought, did he just go?  Did I blink and an adult came in?  Did a quick head count...only 2 heads, nope it was him!!  I'm only half way through coffee one so I'm lucky I even saw that ...lol  ::)

Has anyone contacted Tracy about the first fledge?
I believe the ones on fledge watch have a contact number.
Hope he is safe where ever he is.

I'm looking at the brother and sister sitting on the ledge currently and am now more inclined to think it make have been the bigger of the two brothers that took flight first. Carly, what do you think since you were looking directly at events when they unfolded?

I know I hate the refresh..lol!  It was a good strong take off and he had good height...fingers crossed!  The food will keep these 2 busy while they focus on the little fledger!!

Lift off at 6:57 am straight out from the corner!  :o  Another one running up and down the ledge edge flapping ....  Parent comes in with food and big sis and male jump on it, big sis wins the draw.  Brother chases parent off the ledge.

I take it that is eastern time? TPC was right on for the start of the Fledge watch.
