I saw the liftoff out of the corner of my eye - thought it was a parent at first and then my browser refreshed...why does it always do that when the best things are happening? It was the smallest brother I think. Hoping he had a good first flight.

Lift off at 6:57 am straight out from the corner!  :o  Another one running up and down the ledge edge flapping ....  Parent comes in immediately with food and big sis and male jump on it, big sis wins the draw.  Brother chases parent off the ledge.

Below is a link to a post by TPC (June 24/09 post #69) providing a brief recap of previous chicks:

Good Morning :)      Approx 530 out there and  there are 2 chicks on the ledge and our Miss on the vent.OH my thought thre was going to be a lift off as one scurried along the ledge. Two sitting side by side now...perhaps discussing if they will take their first flight together ;D....... one back in the nest...perhaps waiting for BF....so the wait begins...oh he is back on the ledge again

Happy U.S. Independence Day!  However, since you are Canadian chicks, you shouldn't take that too literally.  Stay put a few more days before going independent on us!

Happy 4th! Don't forget, Princess is an American Falcon born In Minn.

It is the kid looking out to the world or asleep sitting up one or the other.

Happy 4th from me as well.  One of our brood or a parent is watching over the city from the northern (farthest) corner ...wonder if birds have many thoughts...

I hear you deb, i'm just as worried as you are :), but I have to be pragmatic. Otherwise I'd be a ball of quiverring jelly, and that does no one any good.
Have 3 nephews ( and 2 younger brothers that I adore ) that look up to me to be calm and rational,
I will never let them see my fear, doubt or worry. That stuff comes all too soon in life, and they don't need to learn it from me.

hey eagle - I'm not surprised we have duplicate threads given how many of us are still here -  But TPC will indeed sort it out.
(I am a little surprised it doesn't say "there is another thread with that name, are you sure?" but it doesn't.  weird.)

I can't tell much of anything.  I see one on the north ledge near the corner, but that's it.  :)

Yes I am still awake.  First let me say Happy July 4th to all our American watchers. Pchemist have a blast later today.

Now to our peregrine family lets see, two chicks are on the gravel and one is still on the ledge.

Thanks, bccs. That is well said and I will try my best to remember it. When I'm not too busy worrying that is! :-\
