Only my opinion but I say leave it to what they want to do. They have a nestbox site that was successful, they have a nest ledge that they successfully used this year, with help from tupperware or rubbermaid, either site could have had failures. They thrived and survived, see what comes next.

And "longer" can be so relative ... longer compared to the building of the pyramids? or the evolution of life on the earth?  ;D
I'm going with the evolution of life on earth..... ::)

And great question, I was wondering if TPC would install a box once T&P leave for the season since they seem to like the ledge  :-\

Hoping to find a solution to the nestledge that doesn't cost my $2000 a trip to access it ... will let you all know what we are up to when we have a bit more information - what's possible, when possible, how possible, impossible ...
This is where donations come in effect....I know we don't want to encourage nesting on the ledge but Princess just has to be a Princess and nest on this ledge to give us all heart attacks.  We can't control nature but we can help them, so if TPC is thinking of putting a (permanent ?) tray up on that darn ledge, I think the phanatics can help with the costs....it's for the falcons folks.   ;D

Hmmm . . . and wasn't it just last night we were saying that none of our birds had been spotted this week? It's so good to know that they haven't headed south yet. Thanks for the good news, Pam!

just  quick peek.
Hi everyone. missed the humor. :) :)6 weeks is along time for me to be away.
Glad you are still seeing your adults. The young have probably started on their migration already.

Are you installing a tray on the ledge  Tracy?

It was very very windy and much cooler today ... didn't see them on the eastside with the spycam but we may have missed each other or they were tucked up somewhere nicer ...
