Just watched a juvenile flying round and round the Radisson - guessing Vesper, from size and the way she was trying (and I do mean trying as opposed to succeeding) to land on odd-shaped objects (I recall her doing that earlier!).  Finally ended up back on the sign.

Great shots Pam!!!!  I'm so happy to know that the kids (even if only one) are still around!  Hey, so ideas boys and girl for next season.  This is Princess and Trey's territory!
That's how Ivy got his territory in West Winnipeg.  Hmmmm, perhaps they will need a map of the South or North side of Winnipeg so there can be a breeding pair over there.  Is there a map for the peregrines....not sure if they know how to google.... ::)

I agree, MsD -- and it seems as though it's been a long time since we saw one of the kids! Glad you were able to get photos, Pam!

I'm sure we have a juvenile here. He/she (well, I couldn't hear any noise, so probably a he!) spent much of the afternoon on top of the R, was definitely eating something for a while.  The pictures are not very good, but.....

And here's the butt shot ....

Another sighting on top of the "R", and my thinking is that it is one of the juveniles.....have tried to get a couple of pictures, but the bird is hanging out close to the wall.  The coloring looks like juvie to me.......

A sighting -- great news, Pam! When you see one these days, do you feel as though you need to take the time to really get a good look in case it's the last time before they abandon us and fly south?

Saw an adult on top of the east sign - looked like he/she might have been eating something?

oh *sigh*

Guess we have to wait until peak falcon season to find out where our kids just might be hanging out, thanks to band numbers (let's hope Tupper isn't hanging out on any walls and he grows out of climbing them  ::)).  Vesper will be out screaming at something...and Ty, well, he'll just play it cool  8)

Good luck you three.... :-*

Just has a spin around the hotel,Paris bldg, nest box and nest ledge. No birdies, but it did just stop- raining here.
Oh, and mspeach, more than likely the adults. No one has seen the kids for a few weeks now, and they are really easy to tell apart. :)

Wish those falcons migrated thru Phoenix so I could get a look at them.   I do have tons of hummingbirds all year round.  Have 3 big feeders that need refilling every other day.   I remember while living in Winnipeg the little guys came mid May to mid Sep.
Glad you're still having sightings of P and T,  altho is it them or the kids??

I'm good and in agreement with whatever "The Peregrine Chick" thinks is the best course of action for the birds.

I was wondering, TPC, how many hatchlings has this project had since you started what 18 years ago?  I was reading how in another location they had their 1000th hatchling.
