Alikat, thank you for sharing your excitement and awe in being with THE TPC one on one.  Pretty sure I would be writing just the same thoughts were I in your place.
She is fascinating!  A true treasure!

Hey folks,

I know that I posted earlier about today's adventures...BUT!

I just wanted to add that it was a very different experience for me today.
When you're watching falcons with THE PEREGRINE CHICK, it truly becomes an awe inspiring moment.  This afternoon I had a one on one conversation with THE TPC, listening to all of her adventures, I was extremely honored to be standing there with her having these discussions.

If any of you ever have a moment to just talk with Tracy, please do it.  She has this aura about her that makes you just want to learn, listen and retain every word she has to say.

Hmmm, now that I think about it, was that really you today Tracy....or maybe that was your "stunt double"!!! ;)
(just kiddin TPC  ;))

Allikat, so glad you finally got to meet TPC and have some great time with her. And you didn't even have to share! Way to go!
bccs, you are terrible. But I though Allikat's comment was better! :-*
Glad to hear that "our" girl is doing well. And keeping up her pushy ways. Boy I'd love to see the mate she ends up with.

Thanks for the updates everyone!  Would love to see them also.... so if all works out, I am going to try and come down to see the "kids" after church in the morning.  Life certainly does manage to get in the way though so I will not hold my breath!  Keep up the good reporting and having fun at the same time.  Bccs please do not change.  How else can I get such "giggles"!

Oh Allikat, I'm sorry to have missed you! I got there around 9:30 to find Bccs who'd already been there for hours, Ballywing was there for a couple of hours before she had to head off to work. While we were watching, the boys were playing around the City Place building and Vesper was hanging out on the Radisson sign for a while. TPC came along and we were able to watch Vesper swoop across the sky and basically knock one brother off his perch -- that's one missy with a real attitude. At one point, she displaced Trey and Princess from the Radisson sign and settled in for a nap. Before I left, Trey had moved in to one of the louvered areas on the back of the Radisson and that's where he was when I left. Liz had dropped by briefly but, when I left, TPC was alone in her car (and, I thought, on her way). Sounds as though you arrived at just the right time!
I'm sorry I missed you to Saoirse...It was a great day!  I got there around 3pm.   :o
I really wanted to get there A LOT earlier but just couldn't believe the stores today.  I'm very happy that TPC stuck around for as long as she did....hey wait!  That means I actually didn't miss something this time.  It truly is a GREAT DAY!!!!!  :D

strap a pillow to your face, then try.  ;D

honest, I'm only saying this so you can have a full peregrine experience.  Not for any other reason.  Gotta get into the mind of the chicks, you see.  it's important work.

I'd do it, but I'm not local.  8)
um, pchemist, um, if I'm to get into the mind of the chicks, does that mean I should start working on the art of projectile pooping??????
Oh now, that would be a site and separate thread all together!!!!!!

Hey Folks,

Went downtown today to take a look at our birds.  No other watchers about, BUT.............Tracy (THE PEREGRINE CHICK) was there.  WOOT WOOT!!!!!   ;D and another  ;D and  8)
I pulled in, didn't see anyone around, but got out of my car anyway and grabbed my binocs to take a look, and then I hear this kind voice, "Hi Allikat".  It turn my head to the left, there she is.
I could have stayed there all day with her and listened to her adventures out in the field.
What a treat it was for me.
We watched our birds fly around for a bit, while chatting it up, then Pam pulled in for a little visit.  All three of us stayed and watched Vesper soar about in the sky.  She made several landing attempts, but didn't stick them.  She was wonderful to watch and she's doing quite well.
Saw one of the kids try and stoop a pigeon above the Eaton's place building, the pigeon got away.
Both Pam and Tracy had to take off but I stuck around for a bit wanting to watch our girl land.
Was able to see Trey escort her around the buildings and go with the wind.  Man, is that somethin' to watch folks.
Anyway, before I left, Trey was on the letter d on the east side of the Radisson, Vesper was on the Kensington Building (? --- Pam's building) and Princess was on her perch at the top of the Radisson.  From what I heard earlier from Tracy, the boys were together on the Eaton's Place roof.
All is going very well for our kids...Tupper, Ty and Vesper are wonderful to watch!

It was a GREAT day for me!!!!!!!   :D

was it a waddlestompfaceplant walk?

I was picturing more of a Monty Python-esque silly walk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wippooDL6WE&feature=fvst

Tracy, do either you or EyeSpy have a screen capture of our intrepid ground force? Since the Phanatics Afar cannot see the birds it would be fun to have a peek at the bird watchers.
That video had me laughing so hard Three ;D :-*  But that's not the walk that Pam made me do ;D ;D

Hmmmm, not quite as I recall it     ??? .....seems to me there was no prompting by anyone, one minute we were all respectful bird-watchers, and the next.......the applicant for the Ministry of Silly Walks was auditioning....
