Princess actually came to visit me today. At least I think it was she. I was standing outside my office when I heard the familiar yak yak yak. Sure enough, I looked up and there she was heading towards me from over the Convention Centre. She didn't stick around though. She just circled over my head and veered north again heading toward the Hydro building, yakking the whole time.

Saw one on the dot of the I on the east side sign, too small to be Princess, too dark to be Ivy, so my semi-educated guess would be a kiddie. ;D ;D

Both of them will probably be around and occasionally visible until October so long as the weather holds.  Both of them have hung around that long in previous years.  Princess has left early a couple of times, leaving Trey to tidy up and close the doors behind him.

However, this is a new pair this year...Yes, this has been Princess' territory for years but she has a new partner.  Don't really know how long Ivy and/or Princess will stay.  One typically leaves before the other as far as I understand from the photo gallery.  We really won't know until we know.  As for the kids....again, only from reading and looking through the gallery, they are gone before the parents.  Where they go....only the falcons know!   ;D

Susha...the birds (meaning the resident pair) have been known to stay until early October.   ;D

Nope, didn't go home, just would have gotten wet all over again. I was the cause of a lot of laughter at work, so I suppose it had it's upside. ::)
And never did completely dry off.

But seeing our girl on the ledge, well it was worth staying for the day, wet or not. ;D ;D
She was there for over half an hour before I left for the day and was still there when I left.

Lifting the spirits of colleagues is a definite upside of misfortunes that can befall us!  I am very familiar with said experience ::) :P ::) and I completely concur :)

And then seeing Princess, well...can there be any way to make up for being a little soggy?!

How long will these guys be around, do ya think?  That's probably been asked and my feeble brain has forgotten the answer :-[

Didn't have to get up, but heard the rain pounding down - an open window makes that easy! ;D  And rather blinding lightning flashes, could see the world light up even with my eyes closed.

No birdies this morning. Ya wanna know why??
Well seems that the powers that be decided to give us a little thunderstorm this morning. >:( >:(
I am soaking wet from head to foot. The brand new umbrella decided to break, and to add insult to injury, it also started to leak. The puddles are massive, I had to go through one that came up to my ankles.
So here I sit at work, looking as if I just stepped out of the shower and put on clothes right out of the washing machine.
Let me tell y'all, not a pretty sight and my mood is not much better than that.

Oh no!! :o :o Did you go home to change or just wait 'til you dried off?  I heard that a ton of water fell out of the skies within a very short time :P  I heard the thunder, but didn't see the rain because I didn't have to get up because I'M ON HOLIDAYS!!

sorry... :-[
