To answer a few questions all in one place ...

1.  Mealtimes right now will probably be 3-5 hours apart, the chicks are small and hungry but they sleep more than anything.  Eating at this stage takes a lot of effort so they really only do the two things at the moment - eat and sleep.  Don't worry, everyone will get fed and they will get fed enough.  Remember, this isn't Princess' first clutch and she hasn't done so badly so far.  Ivy's been catching on very quickly and is a very good hunter so no worries there either.  Not sure he'll get to feed for the first few days but we'll have to see.

2.  There is a bit of damp on the nestbox cam lens, that is from the rain, it should dry off shortly.  And no, we won't be going up to clean it.  Will leave them all alone for a bit, particularly since its damp and cool right now.

3.  Videos of first meal are being uploaded as we speak, takes awhile, so check the video gallery in an hour (www.youtube.com/theperegrinechick).

4.  If you are having problems with the webcam view, do NOT post them here - this thread is for observations only.  Please post them here (http://www.species-at-risk.mb.ca/projects/pfrp/forum/programs/index.php/topic,1914.0/topicseen.html) so that we have all the problems in one place as they are invaluable for solving our problem!! Thanks for tracking all the problems for us folks, they are helping alot!

I'm having the same problem on Explorer.  Am usually to get a picture when I open the window on Firefox.  It's still staggered but it's better than a black screen!

Good morning everybody!  I'm so excited about the babies being here!  Can't really see them - just a little white under Princess.  Off to work where I can't watch them, but will keep checking the Forum.

This is absolutely amazing that I am able to watch this nature show. 8) I tell my hubby about what's going on and he kind of looks at me like they are just birds.  Well, I get excited about these birds like he gets excited about farm machinery. ::)  So,  :P raspberries to him.  ;D ;D

Wow, three already!   ;D  Too bad I missed the first feeding though.  I always missed feedings last year.  Anyone know if they follow a general schedule, or are feedings totally random?  ???
I also saw a feeding of 3 little chicks this morning just past 6:00 am. And I was wondering the same thing, KDR... How often do they feed at this stage? ???

It's so nice to share the excitement of feeding time with other Peregrine Phanatics!

Glad to see all three chicks alert and into the feed this morning. Let's go egg number 4!
