From watching the slide show, bev, it does look like he/she is looking around at something - perhaps another peregrine? :-\

Well Lo and behold one appeared today. I do not think this is good though. It is a different one, possibly a male and no bands. I have sent info to our biologists. Very gorgeous but if a male that will spell trouble for our late retuning male here. If female then??????

I am cam watchng these two sites today for IDs

I have a slideshow and I think  remaining prey on talons and I am not sure if bowing or looking down. something is definitely around, whether is be 2 or 4 legged

Bev, I have not seen the falcon at this site since Wednesday of last week; I don't know what's going on.

Miss Edmonton and the male from Genesse , settled not far from each other ,after migration south.

They will be tracking their  return ,to their perspective sites.

The female at Genesse may be new or she may be last years and may have lost her transmitter, as it failed early into migration.
I have been checking Weber building to see if  male at end of season had returned yet.

It is a wonder you could even read my last message. I need to make corrections but I cannot get in there to do it :-[
Does that make sense.  :)

Hi, Bev, I am not sure I understand what you said in your last message.  The way I understand it, the falcon at Genesse now may or may not be last year's falcon, who may, or may not, have lost her transmitter.  But there are two falcons with transmitters on their way here, who should arrive in 2 weeks, and they are, or may be, the transmitter pair, or Miss Edmonton and her partner last year.  Can you clarify this for me, when you get time?

Remember it was a transmitter pair  here last year. Now they are hoping this is the female as the transmitter ailed early migration and she could possibly have lost it.  Or it could be a new female
the is why I am trying to ID her

Now as of April 9 there was not transmitter readings ,meaning they had no left for migration yet.
so hopefully they left on the April 10 ;) ;) this means that they will not be here for another 2 weeks yet.
they are tracking MIss Edmonton and the male from  this site.

so we will wait and see what happens

She is back for a visit to the nestbox ledge.  She did some preening, then took off; I have not seen any male, yet.

I will have to keep an eye more tomorrow.  if this is the same female as last year but without transmitter, she will have to wait a bit for her transmitter man

Falcon on the ledge, I think it is the female; she has been looking and looking inside the nestbox, but still has not gone in.  Still cannot get a good look at her band.
