I haven't seen our Cassandra since Friday night -- I can't believe how big she is with the Cam 3 view!

She has not only got her head resting on the edge, but also one "elbow"!

Love haw she is staggering around with that bulging crop.  What a mess left by dinner! Maybe she is trying to find an nonlittered place to lie down.  Just saw a blurred image of a wing flapping.  So many dark underfeathers now!

Lol..yeah that sure is one hungry chick, no wonder she was a little crusty earlier!  It will be interesting to see how much the chick weighs at banding!

Here is dinner with Mom's return.  Looks like a nice plump pigeon, and chick can barely keep her open beak away from it.  This is a hectic feed.  From refresh to refresh, the prey is dragged around and Mom is almost blurred as she obviously hurries to keep that open beak filled, and quiet!

Yes all is well again..no doubt someone senses dinner is coming soon  :D  I managed to get to get cam 3 to refresh now and holy cow - you can really see how big the baby is from this angle or maybe it's just because it's dad there now and he's smaller than mom - but wow is she/he a big girl/boy!  I wouldn't want to make her mad either..hehe  ;D

Good, all is calm again.  Dad hopped up on the ledge, facing in, and chick is snuggled up, occasionally resting beak next to his talons.

That's more like it.  Chick has chilled a bit, and is now resting her head and beak on the edge looking out.  Mom standing beside also looking out.
Aha!  Heeeeere's Dad for shift change.  Mom out of there real quick.  Dad wondering if he should get closer to the now apparently very vocal chick.

Looks like Chick is up again, and happy to be close to Mom who is sitting facing in. Mom glanced over her shoulder, and chick peeked out from behind her. Mom hopped in the box, then quickly back on the ledge, with chick nonstop yakking.  Mom ruffling her feathers a bit, no doubt hoping the midafternoon snack will appear soon.

I have to close and reopen the browser which I've done a few times today when baby was alone to see if mom had come back.  When she finally did, she tried to hug baby but baby would have none of it..first time I've seen her upset at mom.  She kept dodging mom's cuddles and I could see her beak moving like she was saying something..hehe..probably get away from me you!!  Hehe..eventually she gave in and took some cuddles and she's been sacked out ever since with mom perched on the lip of the ledge watching over her.
