bcbird:
There she is and it looks like another egg has been produced! I'm pretty sure I saw that blue green colour under her. She's pretty restless right now too.
ballywing:
Crap - spoke too soon - Weezie is back. :(
ballywing:
Nope, Weezie was in the nest on & off for a couple of hours after the removal - maybe looking for her eggs... :-\ - but now I haven't seen hide nor hair of any ravens for quite a while. I really hope they have moved on finally.
bcbird:
There are now no signs of any birds on any of the 3 cams. No humans either
Elaine L:
For the last 3 days, I have been staying away from this camera as I have been so worried about the ravens. I finally decided I had to see what was happening, and I almost had a heart attack when I saw your messages about the removal of the nestbox.
I know I would be very distraught to see the ravens sitting in the nest, stunned and wondering what happened, so I am not going to the camera.
I agree with all that it is a far better thing that the ravens lose their eggs than they lose their lives. I hope they leave the nestbox permanently, now. The falcons deserve their nest, but the ravens do not deserve to die. I now fervently hope that, next year, they can pass on their genes to a new generation, especially the male, who was heroic and devoted beyond anything I have ever seen in the bird world.
