U of Alberta - 2009 / Damon & Radisson
birdcamfan:
I think I said that I wasn't too fond of Ravens a few days ago. Poor Wheezie, she looks so forlorn. My heart is softening up a little more every day.
Elaine L:
Oh, no - not another egg! These poor birds.
carly:
Woah! :o :o
JL:
And you think Radisson is messy? Check out this nest; it's a complete featherbed! ;D

--- Quote from: Loriann on April 16, 2009, 12:32 ---I'm not sure I buy the 'eggs were 'probably not viable' thing.. sounds like someone placating me (us). Guess we'll never know, and its still hard to watch without interjecting some of our human emotions. Those potential chicks had just as much right to life as any other, and I feel bad that they have had that chance taken from them... and for George and Weezie, who have no idea what the heck just happened. again.. frustrating for everyone involved. I for one will not be checking back into this nest, not while the Ravens are still there.. Breaks my heart.

I agree with you Lorriann. I feel so bad. I know it is nature and it could have been worse with the Ravens or the Peregrines being hurt or worse but I still feel so sad. Further down I read that they think another egg was laid. I hope not. Poor birds. :'(
