Well, now I've seen everything.  All the chicks were in the nestbox, making lots of noise, mom (or dad) came with food, and then dropped it!  Everyone looked a bit stunned, and that sure stopped the noise.  While all were looking down, the parent took off to see if she could (presumably) retrieve the food.

wow - all three were in the box!  Now one just flew off the ledge, but that was cool to see!

The one who just landed on in the box was doing alot of squawking and I think it might be lightning, but I can also hear someone outside the box answering at times. Oh someone else is outside the box, one of the boys I think hard to tell with the lighting right now...


wow for a split second while someone came in with food I saw four falcons in view of the camera, 3 kids one adult.  And the youngin in the box who stayed is squawking a bit, now went over to the rail at the side of the box and gone, flew off I think. One of the kids is still on the rail

Seems quite windy there again today, someone is having fun flapping their wings in the wind and yet staying on the rail.

There's another mid-day visitor hanging out on the outer ledge, but I can't tell who it is - back is to me.  Sounds like Lightning though.  There was just a flyby of a family member, too.  Nice of them to get together for lunch.

One of the kids popped in for a quick visit.  It's impressive in such a short time that the seem so very confident hopping ledge to ledge and flying off again.  They grow up so fast!

Two chicks on nest-box-ledge, looks like they are settling in as the sun sets there.  I'm glad they are coming "home" each night so we still get to watch them.

Someone just zoomed by screeching, but didn't drop in for a visit. I assume we won't be getting the outside cam at this point, what a shame -  - it would be great to see the whole family swooping around the skies!! - Maybe they'll come back later tonight to sleep.  ..........OH somebody is there now on the side rail - can just see the tail feathers wiggling around.

looks like niiiiiiiiice weather in Elk River.  It's 24C and a little humid (for my taste) at 39%.  No wonder they are hanging out in the sun!

well I have seen bits of the webcam today as well, and I few times there was someone in the box, or outside.  Right now it sounds like someone is out of camera range on the left bar, again!  Favorite roosting spot it seems.  I wonder if its as hot there as it is here.  40C with humidex.  Too hot to type or anything!! lol I had fun posting yesterday though.  My mind and fingers need a break today.

Lightning (I think) is on the nestbox ledge preening away.  I've seen other activity today (quick visits, short naps, one meal) but haven't been posting updates because the forum seems a bit slow and because I've been doing what I'm actually paid to do...

mom came in for a quick visit in the box, then flew out as someone nearby (likely Lightning) screamed at her.  Then I saw a tail-shadow in the box and hear someone's talons on the roof.  Very amusing.

Such a lot of screeching going on!  And a lot of head tilting.  Wonder if she's watching someone below?  And inviting them to join her on the nest box ledge?  She sure is insistent.

Oh!  It was to get someone to bring her food!  Handed off from the off-camera edge!  Wow!

Ah, into the box for a visit.  Now on the ledge.  Could be Lightning as I see some down still on the head.  Hard to know, though.  And especially since the chick is sitting in that spot that makes the camera go funky!
