I think you're right. One of the females fell out. I think the male is going to fly off soon. He just went over and stepped on his napping sister and started flapping and going to the edge. Chirped as if to tell her to go with him.
I think they are getting very close to fledging, but not quite yet, in my humble opinion...still a little too much down on them..but I would think they should move to the perch very, very soon. I'm a little surprised they aren't already out there...but what do I know...
I'm off to bed...maybe some of you could call in the morning...They open at 7:30...but the emergency line is probably 24/7. I won't be able to to call again until I get home from work.
I can't imagine they would put her back in the box (if she's ok )for fear of forcing a premature fledge..but ya never know...
