When I first got up this morning and checked the web cam, both chicks were in the nest.  There was a bunch of noise a few minutes ago and I came to see if they were getting fed and there was only one chick left in the nest.  I guess the other one decided to fledge, or at least I hope that is what he did.  The one left alone in there is near the edge now looking over the side.  I hope she doesn't decide to take off especially if she is not ready.  I am assuming she is the female. She is flapping her wings like crazy right now.
I will have to keep cheking at work for updates here because I can't watch the web cam there.

buddy boy is still perched on the ledge, hasn't budged.  Just the wind blowing his feathers a bit.  Cute.. I am gonna miss these little buggers. My my, from now on whenever i look up and see a bird of prey, be it an eagle, hawk, osprey, owl, I am going to think, oh I wonder how Trey and Princess are doing, and Chase and bullet and Lightening and Radisson and..... well you know...  all our webcam familys!

silly bird is gonna roost? all night up there?  lol..... looks cute sitting there, like he is on guard while sister sleeps.  but we all know he is just mr nosy, and wants to be gone! lol

awwwwwww the female made a pit stop and then went and laid her head on top of her brother. Tooooooooo cute.

it is probably just as well we can not see the other chick that fell, as she is all alone on a roof, with no shelter,,, hopefully the mom or dad sticks close by but think we would feel awful watching her.

thank you SGB for the photo. Poor little guy, I be t there was a lot of flapping and a very ungraceful landing! Do you know anything about the outside cam and why they haven't switched it on?

Well, Ballywing, I know you must be close-by, since you were scoping out the Radisson!  We'll know if someone approaches one of us while we're staring up in the sky on Portage (including Liz) that we're friendly phanatics!!

Just wanted to stop by briefly and share a pic taken during that fateful morning.  It was taken by a person named Mark, who works at GR.  The fallen baby is in the red circle...this location is down and to the right of the nest box...so he must have done quite a bit of flapping to end up there...good for him...

he's making my heart race! Standing out there flapping with wings widely outstretched and just when you think this is it, he jumps back in!!

Just have to comment here......have been reading these posts (yesterday at work....don't tell....) and since.  talk about blow by blow commentary!  Thanks to all of you, I wouldn't have been able to follow the (at times heart-stopping) action without you!

peregrine chicks both just standing and lookin out the box.  one on ledge one not.  lol..  I have a baby chipmunk about 15 feet from me and my big male cat, it is laying on a rock in the sun,, hasn't moved for 5 minutes.   oh as soon as i said that, and I did, say,, "what are you doing little chippy"  then he finally went around behind a building,, my cat is ready to pounce thru the screen tent I think! lol

hey I seen that  he was right out on the outer edge of the two bars at the corner, dancing and wings fully extended wind tossing him about, him dancing, it was a sight to see, mom came by ,fly by and he got back in, it was as if she wanted him to.. oh my, mom/dad there with food, dangling it from mouth but oh shoot ,did one get it?, I am having a hard time seeing,,,,, one is in corner can only see bum think he has got the food,  I am outside, with laptop,,,,,,, lol,,,,,,,, so bright i cant see hardly anything........lol
