What a smooth start to the season!  Princess is back for another year ;D, chooses the nest-box ;D and lays four eggs. ;D

What more could we ask for?

I agree Susha! Very well put.  :)  :) :) :)

Well, TPC, your love of peregrines also means you have a lot of household chores on your hands. Cleaning nest sites, camera lenses and of course any booboos on the forum.
Love that you take such good care of our birds. :) ohh, and us too, of course.

The falcons' and the Project's household chores yes  ;D, my household's household chores, not so interesting  :-X or as high a priority but even they too must be worked into the schedule ;)  I think I like cleaning nestboxes more than vacuuming, unfortunately have to do the latter much more often than the former  :'(

When is the estimated hatch date ??

Should start hatching just before the Victoria Day weekend ....  :)

Which means the CBC Manitoba FalconCam will go live early in May.  It has been too cold and wet to clean the camera lenses and we have to test stream the cameras first, so can't give you a specific date yet but we are aiming for a week or more before hatching.

Congrats on your prediction GCG.  You were spot on.  I am still surprised given her age.  Hopefully we will have 4 healthy chicks when hatching begins.

And now please get some rest, sweet Princess.

No worries, she was been curled up napping on the eggs all day well out of the rain.  It was a very serene scene.

Congratulations, Princess! So happy that the she chose the nest box and that it keeps her *and* the four eggs dry. Now I can stop being an "anxious auntie" until fledge time.  :)

  8) 8) 8) Wonderful news, TPC. I'll guess 4 eggs! ;D

Would be nice, but she is 14 years old, so I'll be happy with one egg plus a friend.

Ahem! So happy for Princess and Smiley. I look forward to the live cam.

Fantastic news, she's awesome!  Every Spring I get anxious to see if she'll come home.    I'm so glad she's here again this year and nesting in the box!
