Perhaps a sparrow hawk?

Dennis, we spotted a large raptor hunting along the north side of Bishop Grandin between the St. Vital shopping centre and River Rd. We were stopped at a red light at St. Mary's when we spotted it. I can't tell you what species it was, but I think it was somekind of large hawk. By any chance have you photographed any hawks in that area? Beautiful flyer!

 i proclaim innocence in ALL of this, but if you MUST wear a nest costume does this mean you will be offering to show people your BIRD instead of your BUNNY, because that would keep the thread on topic, because we know Dennis likes to photograph BIRDS, and because , well,  it would be a whole new topic for the next day.   can't wait for dennis' emails the next day......... lol
