Forum Clock & Changing Time

Here is some information for the newer members who have asked questions about the time that shows when posting to the forum. This might answer your questions. :)

To check your time:
* log in to the Forum
* click on the "profile" tab above
* check the time on your profile with the time on your computer (bottom right corner)
To correct your time:
* stay on your "profile" page
* click on "look and layout preferences" link on the left hand side of your screen
* you can hardcode the change, or click on "auto-detect" and it should correct it (it did for me)
If you are having problems with changing the time, post them here and we'll try to solve them ...

You need to change your time Irenekl - check out the notes from earlier on in this thread for instructions on how to do it ... if you still have problems, let me know and I can take care of it from my end if you'd like!

While we're confused......and I feel bad asking as I know this has been answered before.....why does the time on the forum read 7:14am when it is actually 8:14am?? :-\

I followed the instructions as stated and asked for auto check than correct profile. I am now on the correct time here in Wpg.

Okay, now I get it. Even though I live in the 'Peg I should just update my own profile when the time changes. Easy to remember - change batteries in smoke detectors, update forum profile. Geez, my head is really in the clouds today! (Too much pyrogies and ham yesterday)
