Sure is nice McKenzie falcons are getting lots of air time this year! TPC why don't you post a little note on the Forum when you put new videos up especially until the Cam is operational and legal so folks know and can go look when they check the threads (some very interesting videos). ;)

Webcam was also able to see Hurricane's band number not long before the first egg #2 could be seen to be visibly damaged (rather than just messy) ...

WOW what a pic!  ::)

Egg number three, now number two, was laid at 2027h.
Doesn't look like it was an easy operation for poor Hurricane.

Well, they are certainly still working on having more eggs. I saw them canoodle at 5:38pm today. ;D  Brooklyn was perched on east ledge of the nest box and Hurricane was preening on the mts tower.  I have noticed that when Brooklyn is at the nest box and leaves he quite frequently goes over to copulate with Hurricane.  :-*

As of 1545h today, just one egg in the box, parent on the box edge for much of the day but at the moment, BJ (Brandon Jnr) is all by itself.  Looks like a lovely day in Brandon, glad the birds get to enjoy it without egg duty.

At 6:05pm tonight, Hurricane took the damaged egg out of the nestbox ... we are back to one and neigher Hurricane nor Brooklyn are incubating so it is pretty safe to assume that there will be another egg or two yet this year.

Thanks for letting us know. Hurricane may still lay three more eggs.....lots of time for that!!  :)

I would be surprised if she had another three, she typically lays four and we've never had a five lay in this province.  But heck you never know this year.

Hopefully Hurrican lays at least one more egg so there are at least two chicks.

Its just after 2pm and I'm it looks like one of the eggs has a large depression in it so I think we are down to one egg here folks and we will have to see what happens ...

Yes, it looks like the one egg is damaged.
