Kinda like Sam the bunny looking at a wall. Mesmerized by something that is just part of the environment.

I agree, Ballywing - Yikes!  Wind is sure not allowing Princess to relax much :(

She might remove the egg, or Ivy could.  Or they could eventually break it or it could eventually be broken as a result of normal life on the nestledge.  Will we retrieve it at banding?  We might or we might leave it.  Depends on whether we have a purpose for it and/or its easy to retrieve when we get up there ...

Morning Chronology ...

0430ish - light enough to get a blurry look at Princess on the ledge
0615h - first meal
0813h - second meal
1030h - Princess still on chicks ... breezy today and from the amount of shake in the camera, I'm thinking south-ish ...

Interestingly, Ivy's in the nestbox ... looking upwards and yakking at someone ... he is very suspicious of something flying overhead and he's off with a mission now ... and he's back 90 seconds later, still scanning overhead ...

Saturday
Day - Partly cloudy. High of 22C. Breezy. Winds from the SE at 15 to 20 km/h.
Night - Partly cloudy in the evening, then overcast. Low of 12C. Winds from the ESE at 10 to 15 km/h.
