That is great news about Princess - better late than never.  Perhaps it will encourage her to return to the nest box next year.   

I did not see anyone from West Winnipeg when I was around that vicinty in the last few days.  I usually see at least one peregrine, sitting on the corner. Is it just me or does it seem really quiet the last few days. Feels like an early fall.  I wonder if the birds are thinking the same thing!?

For the first time in what seems like a very long time, Princess is on the nestbox!!!

Ivy and Princess are both on the Radisson right now - she is on the nestledge, he is on the nestbox.  Haven't seen a chick around and neither of the parents are fussing or appear to be trying to watch over chick.

Was driving home through the downtown area today around 4:00 PM and heard the familiar sound of peregrine falcons squawking. Looking skyward, I noticed the 2 fledglings flying high above the Provencher Bridge. Pretty sure it was Hillary & Tenzing by the colouring.

Thanks TPC, after all the worry about the nest site this year, glad that all things have turned out.

Ivy and Princess have been hanging out frequently on the nestbox and the nestledge so I suspect that Tenzing and Hillary are starting to hunt on their own.  The kids will still be around and the parents will still hang out with them and provide food but the kids will be going further afield on their own now.

I was wondering, TPC, if either of the Radisson fledglings have ever visited the west nest box since fledging?

I haven't seen them there but I haven't been through all the recordings yet ...

Lucky Daniel, having young Tenzing outside his window. He is a very fine looking peregrine falcon. With Ms Princess nesting on the ledge this year, we have not had many close-ups of the Radisson family. Thank you for sharing the photo.

I hope Ivy can convince Princess, if they are together, to return to the nest box next year. The ledge was just too stressful!

If he's making a scrape in the nest box, he must hope that Princess will drop in to remind herself of this better choice for next year!

He does scrape at this time of the year, but more a pair-bonding, site-dominance display than actually planning for next year.  Next year is after all a long time from now!  Hopefully Princess will get back a little earlier and she won't have other women (Joli & Jules) in her "house" ...

  We could only hope that he is laying a scrape for next year to warn off other PF. Radisson belongs to the Radisson Royals.
