LOL  Dennis, you are so busted!!!  They caught you in the act!  Do you want their autographs too?  I am sure something could be arranged, haha.
In all seriousness, I have so loved all your photos.  You have a gift for getting and sharing the best shots of these peregrines with us!!  You are a great shutterbug, or should I say, phantashutterbug!!!  Thank you.

Thanks TPC.  I guess I  won't be going to "the
Diner" to have a bite to eat and watch the Peregrines.  LOL

I've seen it referred to many times and I don't know what or where it is.  It's "the Diner".  Can anyone tell me. ???

The West Winnipeg nestsites have security concerns for the birds so we don't specifically name the locations.  However, in order to keep folks informed on what is going on with this pair, we have given some of the birds' favourite buildings/perches nicknames.  The Diner is a location where they like to eat.  The Bleachers is a place where they like to watch the world go by.  With the nicknames at least folks can follow along with the stories we tell.

Hope that helps a bit.

I am catching up on the news since my return from holidays, and I am so sorry to read about the death of the young male in West Winnipeg.  I agree with Bev that I can handle death better when it is due to nature, not people or buildings.  I hope all continues to go well for the other fledgings.

So sorry to hear about your young male.  :'( :'(

I am going to see our hacked birds on the weekend. Hopefully all will be well. I think I can handle mortality better when it is due to nature. I have trouble with buildings and cars being the cause.

For just a split second when I read about the WW male, I thought of Beau.

Me too!  That's the first thing I thought.   :-[  So glad it wasn't Beau and yet so sad it was one of their chicks.  Poor little Nipper... but that is the reality of life in the wild, isn't it?  :'(

Love the girl's names Tracy, especially Juliet.  Hope to see photos of them soon.

Tracy,

If a Great Horned Owl killed the male chick
did he just kill it to kill it, or did the owl eat the chick?
I know now a great subject, I was just wondering.

Wow!  Sad news.  A Predator, killing a smaller predator.  Most likely defending territory.  Hoping this will be our one and only mortality this year for the chicks.

Yes, MayShowers, I also have to admit, on 1st reading the headlines on the Home page, I thought it was Beau too. Still very sad to read about the male fledgling, though. :'(
