Wonder why they didn't try to put the transmitters on sooner???

I wondered that myself, but I'm sure there are good reasons...

Thanks for the info RCF.  I was thinking something like that might have happened since we only ever saw 2 chicks after the cam came back onto the roof.  So did the other 2 get transmitters?

I am not really sure because it was really hot out.  I was there from around 9am and left to go home about 4pm.  :-\

Oh no RCF, this is too soon  :o  Poor little guy, now he'll be missing his brother and sister!

Sure glad he made it to the other roof though, but now they will be calling back and forth for one another. Perhaps on the next move Sol will try to make it back, or the others will be tempted to join him.  ???

I know the roof is big playground for them, but I can only see 2 and have not seen one of the boys...Or is that Hunter being a lone bird again?

I was down there for most of the day and I guess when they opened the door to the roof just to peek out, one chick flew off the roof floor.  We had to look for him and found he had flown to the McKenzie annex building that is attached by a walkway (tunnel) and is about the same height as where he fledged from.  It was Sol and was yelling his head off when he was found, so Sol will not be getting a transmitter today. I saw one of the parents bring him prey, so he got fed. ;D   I'm sure TPC will be posting later about the day.

Still no news. TPC often says no news is good news!
So I'm also trying not to worry...

Checking out the closeup of the three all in one corner, and I can't help but notice that all three are sporting mohawks.

TPC mentioned that Radisson's chick at the UofA had a real mohawk, not just a few tufts on the top of his head.

I think that these Brandon chicks also have a fairly well defined mohawk. It may be the "Year of the Mohawk". What do you think?

Love the look!
I have a daughter who had a very spectacular blue mohalk in her grade 12 year.
Cool look for teenagers.

Well I'm not sure what happened transplanted maple and Leana. Perhaps one is hiding, but methinks the intruders may be holding one captive!  ;)  ;D

ACK! I am so curious as to what happened this afternoon!  The cam went "off" (ie: only showed original nestbox) for a long time and when it came back on to the roof we saw 2 chicks but they were too far away to tell if they had been dressed with backpacks.  It didn't look like it to me, but very hard to tell at the distance the camera was set.  One said chick was likely Hunter as I saw him go up on the ledge and back off.  Soooo.... what happened?

I know, I know... be patient Leana... TPC will tell us everything as soon as she can...

But patience is SO not my virtue!  :-[

Hiding from the sun, trying to stay cool!  8) Seems like there's a breeze up there though so that should help :) Nice to see them so close up!

Thanks for the reminder of the milestone for RCF.... ;D ;D ;D
Picture can never replace seeing it live, but us who can`t, the picture are a million words.
Thanks are RCF for doing things that I can`t do.

I hope all goes well today, there with the work being done by TCP.
