I left and came back about an hour and a half later and found Sol on the walkway still yelling.  ::)  All of a sudden he put up his wings and took off around the front of the McK bldg and around to the back of the McKenzie bldg roof and landed on the corner (northwest corner).  He wasn't done yet, he flew up and over to the clock tower from there and landed on the sloped roof where he slid down to the gutter. ;D  I guess he was tired after all that and lay down.  He gained height on his flight to the back of the building(four stories).  8)

I went to check on the chicks this morning and Sol was perched on the annex building right beside a hoist that is attached to the annex building roof.  He walked out to the end of it yelling the whole time. He kept looking at his brother and sister on the north wall, I am very sure he wanted to get back over there to be with them. He sat for a while and went back to the annex building and lay down.

Thanks for the updates everyone!  Glad to hear Sol's fledge went so well.
After checking the cam yesterday afternoon and not seeing transmitters on
the juvies was hoping everything was okay.  Sounds like it was pretty
exciting yesterday!

Whoa!  That was a whole lot of action on the cam!
Better than primetime!  ;D

I agree!  Now that they've probably hunkered down for an afternoon siesta, maybe I can get some work done! ::)

Looks like Sol is back on the main McKenzie Seeds roof ... One of the adults came in with food, Hunter looked like he was going to jump up for it and Sol got there first.  Flying sure does help with getting more "snacks"!!

If you have been watching the cam you'll know Sol flew down off the roof to get to the food before his siblings. ;D

Thank you TPC for your lengthy detailed report  :) and thank you Rose for letting us know Sol is flying so well  :) Without these reports we just continue to speculate.

Great news about Sol's fledge!  Thanks for the comprehensive report of the transmitter attempt, TPC!  As always, I'm so impressed with your dedication to the welfare of these birds.

12:25 Just got a report from RCF, Sol has just flown from the roof of the tunnel (walkway between buildings where we saw him running last evening)  he flew out  and around to the back of the building and up to the northwest side of the Mck Bld.roof at the bottom of the clock tower, That's about four stories above the roof of the tunnel and close to where Hurricane usually perches. She says he is flying very well. :)

That is Hunter futzing around on the north wall of the main McKenzie Seeds roof.  I've been keeping the cam on him because he's getting active which could mean he's going to fledge.  Last time I saw Sol, he was on the next building north (the Annex is to the left/north of the main McKenzie Seeds roof).

Okay, take it back, he's decided to lie down in the corner of the ledge now - he's facing south, tail is hanging off the outside side of the building ...
