On parkade about 8:15 am only one chick visible in nest box no sign of another one in box. Checked the roof tops, lots of pigeons finally spotted one on roof of old MTS building and adult on the tower. There are lots of roofs with false edges so can't realy get a good look see behind the edges.Went back to watching bird on nest, she was wingersizing like mad, what a wing span!,think she might be the big chick(luck). While I was watching she just took of to the north going up above nest almost to the level of the roof and around the building and out of sight. What to do! what to do?? Then I went on a walkabout around the buildings in that area, looked on the ground, down the lanes and up on the wires, nothing. Then looked up at McKenzie Annex and looking down was falcon head(with racing stripes). On return jaunt there were 2 heads including bodies and wings just checking the world. So now three accounted for, reckoned the other one was lying down out of sight (I HOPE). Just before I left Chick(Fate), (could see the white tape on left leg) on mts building decided to join the two across the street,he flew to the east and circled around went up a bit and flew west to the annex building. He seems to have got the hang of what he is supposed to do with his wings.
All this excitment is almost too much for this old girl!!! I just keep hoping every thing turns out well for all the chicks but nature must be listened to so I know what the stats say but I'm an optimist so I'll just think positive all the time

My worry is that one of them will do something silly when no one is watching and we won't be able to get there in time   :-\

I really wanted to go there tonight but discovered I had nothing to eat off or with and nothing that wasn't wrinkled to wear.

Domestic duties called.   :'(

Hey bl, I think we all become like kids again.Watching our birdie familys is so amazing, a new experience - just like kids, cheering and hollering with delight. Nice to shed some of the "adult personna" and forget about ourselves and just enjoy.
Ditto....well written B!!!   :-*
