OMG! That's what I said at 8am this morning and is about all I can say again right now.  What an incredible evening of events, which I am certain Tracy will explain to us all as soon as she can.  Let's all pray and keep every finger and every toe crossed that the two 2 "jumpers" are OK and landed safely somewhere where there's no construction!

Two chicks fledged after someone mentioned there was a noise on the roof, then less than 8 minutes later the transmitter fledge comes out where we see him.
Doesn't make sense that they'd risk more fledging - and 3 were out there at the edge of the nest box at the time, but whoever returned the 1st one to the nest, must have been up there and caused the other 2 (thankfully not all 3) to take-off...

But do we know for sure who the transmitter bird is? This is all so confusing - saw the spooked fledge video - yikes! So I guess we have no idea where all the babes are right now? I know, no news is good news and all...

Well TPC I guess the researcher was right when she said she hoped to have 5 wild nest specimens and 5 captive bred specimens in 2012 for her research. That was in the article that was in the westman Journal last fall. Now she has 1 wild nest specimen and needs 4 more but maybe you can catch the two that were spooked tonight and put transmitters on them and then she would only need 2 more.There are three  chicks in the West Winnipeg nest and three in the Brandon nest to choose from. I was really hoping to see the Brandon chicks fledge from the wall nest box and not have to be put in that nest box on the floor that you said had an inch of Pigeon poop in it when you were here putting up the cameras.

Just trying to keep things positive Rose!  I think we're all very concerned about the boys.

Who is this chick with the transmitter? If two bolted and one is left and one fledged this am so is it that the one  or a stranger. This was never posted anyplace.Welcome to the world of well kept secrets!

I wouldn't think it's a stranger - too calm and familiar with the nest box and Red Girl is also very calm.  I'm sure we'll be hearing soon enough about all the adventures today!

I'm sure it's not a stranger!! And I would rather hear that the two other boys are okay than about any so called adventures of today.
