It's so hard to watch the light go.
TPC, the pic is almost gone but I see a change from facing east to north.  Is that just wind, or chipping and chirping?

I suspect that the earliest we might see a hatch is overnight.
Where do I need to be posted with my floodlight, so we can see inside all night?? lol

1525h
Boredom hit Ivy and he just HAD to deal with the recalcitrant pebbles at the back of the box ... whew, all dealt with and its back to the eggs ...  ::)

Haha! I watched that too. Those darned pebbles, what a bother.   :)

I had a look at the eggs during the last shift change and none of them appear to have cracks on them and I'm not sure that either one of the parents would get off and leave them alone (even in the bright sun as there was at the time) if they were on the verge of hatching open.  I suspect that the earliest we might see a hatch is overnight.  There also hasn't appeared to me (when I've been watching) much listening going on from the adults - Princess and Ivy may be getting older but their hearing should be fine  ;)

I was about to post that the eggs had been "free" for quite a while, but because of the way the sun was hitting them, it was pretty hard to see if there'd been any action.

And then along came somebirdy and plunked themselves down, and now we can't see anything.....

I think she only got up once during the whole lunch hour. Could only make out two eggs as she rearranged them, then shuggled back down on them.

It's so hard to tell.  Every time I look she looks like she is glued down.

Hard to know but it is pip-time.  It could just be a pattern on an egg or a pebble or something stuck to the egg (it does happen).  Since its wet/damp here today, watch for broken eggshells, we'll probably see eggshells before chicks even though they are undercover.

I thought I just saw a pip on an egg, but could be wishful thinking or just nest schmutz . . .

I don't know if this is a pip or the egg is just dirty.  :-\

Shift changes this morning at 0539h and 0706h and still four eggs with no visible pips yet.
