I think most of the names TPC has chosen has some historical significance (Memorable Manitobans) for the city of Winnipeg or Manitoba.  :)

Falcon name choices:
Daer is named after Fort Daer which was the name of the settled fort on the south side of the Pembina River.  So historically, it was in place before the name of Winnipeg.

Stornway is also the name of a type of diamond or a place where the diamonds are made.

Jubilee would be due to the Queen's diamond jubilee this year.

The others I dont know about, they could be because of anything and only Tracy would be knowledgeable about that at this point.  When she has a minute, I am sure she would be posting the information! :D

TPC usually has some very good background on each of the names. I'm sure that she'll either post the link in this thread or start a new thread. There may also have been a link to the background info on the CBC site.

I'm certain that it's all in the works.

  Explanation isn't up, but, voting is.  Stornoway, is in Ottawa.  Jubilee, for the Queen's Jubilee I am assuming.  As for the rest, Hopefully Tracey will explain, or maybe you can google search.

Quiet now except for the wind and other noises.  They are finished eating and looking over the edge of the nest box now.
