From a look at the hole in the window to the left...perhaps not a great place to be perched  ???

Rose and I have noticed a lot of windows with holes like that.  I'm thinking it was not a rock that made the holes.............you can't throw a rock hard enough to hit a seven story window.  ???  ???

Yesterday, Brooklyn was staying out of the rain on the highest west side window ledge.   :)
Our miss was not staying dry, she was on the perch bar on the nest box.

It is available through the U of M (where I found it) but I also noticed that it is posted on line (search through Google). I don't know if it is legal or not. It might be available through the library access your school provides.
Okay, will try to see if I can't round it up. It does sound very interesting. :)

...I found an interesting article. It seems rare but it seems to happen. (Schizochromism in a Peregrine Falcon from Arizona; j RaptorRes.36(3):200-202)...
Where did you find this article, bcf? Could it be accessed on the internet? :-\ If so, would you mind posting a link? It does sound very interesting.

the Journal of Raptor Research is an academic journal so unless someone has illegally scanned the article a link to the article won't be available.  For those who wish to access it, check with your corporate/organization library and see if they have an a corporate account with BioOne as they are the organization who manage the online distribution of the JRR.  Or you may be able to access a copy at the U of M (or other university) science library - might only be online access though, not sure they carry a hardcopy of the journal.
