Great photos, RCF.

I hope the gun guy does not come back and scare them off.

Saw a birdie on the north side of Scotia Bank building, same spot Hurricane likes to perch on hot days or just out of the elements.

I saw the male in the nest box, then he flew around halfheartedly chasing pigeons. Maybe he should try a little harder to bring our girlie a gift.  :-*  He finally ended up on the east light.  :)

Just spoke to one of those "other experts"  ;)  and he said he saw them at 0815 this morning in exactly the same locations as RCF photographed them.  He didn't have a camera or scope with him and he's been in meetings, so didn't have an opportunity to notify me until just now.

Way to go RCF & Rose!!

Hi TPC, time to roust out Dan and other experts with spotting scopes there were two falcons at McKenzie site, one on east light and one on MTS tower. The female was on the light(she has a cap) and the male was on the tower. I was so excited I lost my gloves(only misplaced). RCF and I were going shopping but needless to say that was cut short! ;D :)RCF has lots of pictures she'll post them when she gets home. Neither falcon would show a leg so we couldn't even see the band colour :) :)

I wonder if they were around when Mr Shoot em up was there and they were scared off or is it normal for them not to be home by now?

Rose and I saw one on April 3rd, 2010, just passing through I think.  It was April 7th, 2010 that ours returned, so maybe it is a little early yet,  but not much.   :-\

In the past couple of days I have seen a bald eagle, two northern harriers, geese, a merlin, a great horned owl, a porcupine and one gopher.  Not one peregrine, just pigeons on the McKenzie roof.  :(

Going to have one heck of a time getting that porcupine out of that nest box.  Hope it isn't sitting on eggs.......

I guess it did kind of read that there was a porcupine on the McKenzie roof. But if it were in the nest box, It would have to be removed very, very carefully for sure.  LOL  ;D
