Totally agree, the parents are going to need lots of energy when the chicks hatch.

Can't imagine her duvet jacket is very warm when it's soaked through.  :-\

Oh, my, I do hope it is nice for these two really soon; Poor Hurricane (I think it is Hurricane) is on the nest now, and no matter how much fluffing up is done, it is not enough.  These falcons are very dedicated; dedicated, wet, and miserable.  They deserve a break, really soon.

I agree, rcf. Must be a difficult time for Hurricane & Brooklyn with all this non-stop nasty weather. :P

Geez, the wind gusts are 59km/h right now and it's raining again.  Looks like its going to be crappy weather again tomorrow too!  Rainy and very windy.........poor Brooklyn and Hurricane.

Sure does look windy up there in the nestbox. Not as protected as the Radisson nestbox, I guess.

Earlier today I thought I'd have a look to see what birdie parts have been dropped around the south and west side of the McKenzie building...I saw a yellow headed black bird head, a black bird head of some kind (small), something that looked like a dove, black legs where the legs weren't long but the toes were, a couple sets of green winged teal wings and of course pigeon parts...
Very interesting sleuthing, rcf. ;)

I guess it stopped raining and what looks like rain is the water dripping off the roof of the window cam. It still looks awfully windy for Hurricane.

Earlier today I thought I'd have a look to see what birdie parts have been dropped around the south and west side of the McKenzie building.  Ya, I know EWWWWW..........doesn't bother me any!!   Anyway, I saw a yellow headed black bird head, a black bird head of some kind (small), something that looked like a dove, black legs where the legs weren't long but the toes were, a couple sets of green winged teal wings and of course pigeon parts.

This was at 12:30pm and Brooklyn was perched on the south light staying somewhat out of the wind. I did see his feathers fluff up in the wind.

I just tuned into the Brandon cam.  Poor Hurricane.  She is so wet...I hope she is not cold tho.  I know they will be okay but I just feel so bad for her.  We just need a break in this crappy weather.

Trey used to have two dots of white on the back of his head that I could see when he bowed his head for me or when I was using the spycam and was looking down on him.  Could be that Hurricane, as his daughter has one as well - not a whole feather, but maybe a portion, of the feather is white ...
Thanks TPC, I thought I was seeing spots before my eyes LOL.The wind seems to be going down a little and swinging around a little more to the north and it hasn't really been raining that long. These two have endured more than this over the last month and this nest box has more shelter than the thirteen story nestledge on the Radisson that Trey and princess used on more than one occasion.

I bet when the rain stops she'll be yelling for Brooklyn so she can go and dry off.  ;D

Does she have a little bit of shelter in that corner? Sure hope so for those poor parents.

The wind is from the northeast today, so there is not much shelter I'm afraid.

Poor Hurricane, she's getting pelted by the rain, but I can see by the radar it's not going to last too long.........poor birdie.
