:'( :'( :'( This is so sad, it looks like one of the chicks didn't make it through all the rain last night. :'( :'( :'(

The good news is the other two looked very active and were fed this morning at 4:50 am

Remember folks that Trey and Princess had a year with snow, rain, ice and high winds on the nest ledge and the result was Ty, Tupper and Vesper.  Last year Hurricane and Brooklyn had windstorm after windstorm (all of which spawned tornadoes nearby) after windstorm, so this pair is familiar with bad weather :)

Four hours and counting ...

We needed that, thank you tpc!

You are welcome, but it comes with no guarantees I'm afraid.  Looks better now, we can actually see Brandon out from the nestbox so perhaps the rain is starting to finally taper off ...

What a great mom Hurricane is, keeping her babies so well covered in all of this rain. :-* I can still see them wriggling around a bit under her, so they must be okay.

We are lucky right now for some reason, it was distorted by rain on the lens over for the last few hours ... but while we have it, we'll take advantage of the view.  The light will be going very shortly and then we will all just have to wait until the morning ....  :'(  (oops, the Brandon birds don't need more water even if they are tears on behalf)

Thanks TPC for the different view, it doesn't look so bad on the box cam. The birdie is still very wet.

Depending on how long the rain lasts, we will probably lose the cam image in the dim and the damp so if the screen goes fuzzy grey or fuzzy red, you will know its just too much water on the camera lens.

And the "waterfall" is rain from the leak in the downspout which is a couple of feet in front of the windowcam.

Acchh!!  Poor wee bird!  Can't catch a break for Pete's sake!!  Hang on Hurricane - we're all pulling for you!

This kind of weather always makes me think about all those other moms and dads on nests...those ones we don't see.   :'(

She's such a good mom, keeping her little ones covered. I really do hope they will be all right.  :'(

I can't watch the Brandon camera anymore.  It is too upsetting.  :'(  I will check it later and by then I hope the rain has stopped.

Oh, this is dreadful.
I guess rubbers and a ka noo is not funny now because the camera is in danger -------------and, oh by the way, so are the chicks.

finger crossed and prayers going out to this family.
