Mom (I think) is back with more food.  Little one is sitting so straight and eating evertime she rips a piece off.  Oh she just left with the food and they are snuggling up together.  Neither one of the chicks hit the bullseye yet.  A parent is back and trying to cover up the chicks.  One was giving her a bit of a hard time.  Just so cute.

I was just thinking the same, Moonstar.  The little one is looking hale and hearty and ate just as vigorously as his/her bigger sib. :)

Feeding going on right now.  Both seem to be getting equal amounts.  Just so cute to watch them.

They have been quite active today. Mom tries to shove them under her and they don't always want to be under her.  It's funny to watch them escape out the other end.  (back door)

Is quite warm here already.  30 degrees with the humidex and it just gone noon.  Little bit of a SE breeze looks like it's keeping the flies down for this nest.
Just watched a good feeding.

Looks like these little guys have outgrown being shuggled by Mom.  She keeps trying but they seem to be saying "Stop it Mom, you are too hot!".  LOL.  Amazing how quickly they grow!  They are far too cute at this age...

We think s/he is okay - not sure why s/he is a bit messy, may have been sleeping in the wrong spot!  Ate at 0500h and very well at the 0750h feedings, is alert, has done some preening this morning, so it may just be that it is hot in the nestbox right now and s/he is a bit messy.  At the moment, smart chicks are just trying to stay cool and both the chicks are doing just that and in fact have both figured out where the shade starts soonest.  This afternoon they should be more comfortable and easier to watch ... at least until the next rain storm hits ...
