I sure would like to be in Brandon for the banding as well, but the timing isn't right for skipping work these days :(

I've gotten pretty attached to these two darlings and I'd love to see some of the action.

How are the names picked for these two, TPC - I can't remember how it was done last year :-\

I wish I could be there tomorrow, can't even watch the cam as I have an appt that I can't miss.
It is great watching these little ones and I will definitely miss watching them getting there bling.
Are you people in Brandon constantly wearing life jackets (lol) way too much rain happening there with the river and all.

As far as I know the chicks aren't named yet,I think the comments you saw are just idle chatter. :)

I agree with you Rose.  Some of that idle chatter is unreal...I just shake my head and roll my eyes most of the time when I read them.

Totally agree with both of you! I glance at the comments and say never again! Wish they would read the forum for the real information.  :(

Forgot to add that our two babies are sleeping all cuddled together in a duvet pile. sooooo cute :-*

We don't announce names for the chicks until after they are banded ... no way to know how many males and females ...  :)

I agree with you, Moonstar and Rose, about the idle chatter accuracy, though the names Pitter and Patter do seem rather site appropriate!

Stands to reason the chicks are growing so fast - they're well watered!  ;D

I just saw on the CBC comments that the little ones are being called Pitter and Patter!

Must admit, its nice seeing the sun on the nestbox and the chicks glowing white in the light ...  :D
So far it is a nice day,I just hope tomorrow is as nice,it wouldn't do for Dan to have to dodge rain drops as well as two angry Falcon parents :)

He's done the rain thing before, its lightning that kinda freaks him (and us) out - the ladder we use to get the nestbox is metal  ;)

Here's Environment Canada's forecast for Brandon on Monday ...

Cloudy. 30 percent chance of showers in the morning. Clearing early in the afternoon. Wind becoming north 20 km/h in the morning. High 19.
