I think they are doing repairs to the existing box. This one has sides that are too high. tpc said that they like to be able to see out but then, I'm no expert. :-\

Everything will be explained later, I'm sure. :)

LOL, Leana, you are right about that! ;) But I'm also thinking that the trauma of being temporarily and unsuspectedly removed from their cozy little home has been exhausting for them.

I actually thought that's when the new nestbox was going to be installed, Ellie, after the birds had all left for the season. I guess that's what TPC was refering to, when she said they had a few extra preparations to make in Brandon, before the banding. :-\

They look so adorable cuddled together in the corner right now.

If this is the new nestbox, at least it is fully covered!  No more soaking wet chicks!

Traumatic day for these two little ones.  Perhaps a new box should have been installed in the off season rather than now. ???

Just returned from the Kinderchicklet's Grad and picnic... Is that a new nestbox? Or a new camera angle? ???

if this is new box, sides look pretty high. If they are going to hoist it up maybe part of sides come off ???? do not want to lose chicks
