??? Princess looks as though she is puffed up. A lot of shifting going on. She stood up exposing the eggs. The eggs appear to have lost their reddish colour. Does this mean anything? Could today be the day?  ;D

Can't really tell if she's responding to the chicks when she stands up but its possible.  As for the fluffing up, they do that to let air in between their feathers, its a way to stay warm (think down jacket).  Losing their reddish colour is what happens as incubation goes along, they get rolled about and dust and bits of feathers and other unmentionables sometimes get stuck and the colour fades over time.  Is it an indicator of imminent hatching, just by dint of the passage of time I'm afraid.

Short answer: its still a waiting game :)

Can't help thinking of all those birds on the top of cliffs with no protection at all! They have to be so tough to survive. I guess Princess has chosen a good hotel... with all the amenities, at least on the west!

She looks pretty snug right now, the rain seems to be missing her, anyway, I hope so.

If I recall, dennis, you've been right about hatchings before so you're probably right this time. ;)

Come on eggers, grandma's getting impatient! ;D

...hey, if I was one of those chicks, I wouldn't care how impatient grandma was, I'd wait until the rain was done before I'd break shell... ;D

About every 30 seconds or so big drops of water drips on Princess's head, it's got to be annoying.......almost like Chinese torture.   :(

1255 hrs So far, I can't see any broken egg shells (and Mom's asleep on the eggs) so I think hatching has begun yet.  :'(

Princess shifted while chatting to Ivy somewhere in the background.  Count still at four eggs.

1255 hrs

Its quite dark out with the clouds so while we can see Princess its hard to see what's under her when she does a little repositioning.  The CBC image is brighter than the one I see through the "backdoor" so checking playback is still tough.  So far, I can't see any broken egg shells (and Mom's asleep on the eggs) so I think hatching has begun yet.  :'(
