Webcam is working at school now and I finally get to see a mid afternoon feeding! ;D The 3 chicks appear to be gathered around the 1 remaining unhatched egg, as if they are playing "Ring Around the Rosie". ;) Very cute to see. It's as if they are being propped up by the egg. 8)

Got to watch for hours at home yesterday.....Princess does make a better door then a window....That is why females have bigger buckets......I should have been a falcon. I could cover them no problem either.Princess makes funny noises when ripping apart the pigeon. Startled me at first... So cute

Ivy is standing looking at the chicks wondering if he should even bother getting some cuddle time...he even knows it won't last long. ::)

Guess who's back  ;)  Princess just comes in talking and eventually Ivy just has to leave ... poor Dad

There is no question on who wears the feathered pants in the family.

Oh! it's so cute - Princess is making soft chupping sounds when feeding the chicks.

Princess just took the remains of 2nd breakfast away so guess who's "on" the kids  ;D  Think the little guy just hangs out waiting for her to make her exit.

The last one is still not there yet - feeding is going on now for the other three chicks

But there is a visible pip in the egg, so I guess one of the chicks was sprawled over the egg earlier when I thought Esmerelda was making her debut ...

For those without cam access, Princess has her beak in the gravel, eyes mostly closed, head inside the nestbox at the moment.  And the Little Suirmers don't seem to be doing much squirming so all is quiet ... at least for the moment.

I went back to check a clip about 0854 hrs because I think I saw less egg and more chick under Princess' left wing ... not sure, but it could have been Esmerelda making her entrance.  Haven't seen any more eggshell, but in the last 1/2 hour Princess has spun around a couple of times which could be her trying to help E out of her shell like she did with the others.  We really won't know until the next meal.  Not sure when that will be though, if E has just broken free, she'll be all pooped out and not quite ready for food so Egg, Eggette and Egger may just have to hang on an hour or more longer for their next meal.  Yesterday when Eggette (I think) was hatching, Princess waved Ivy off and he had food, might be something similar until Princess feels its food time ... we'll just have to wait and watch ...
