Just got an update from Saoirse, Cade appears to still be on the Rogers Building, Ivy looks to be on the SW corner of the Radisson and Beatrix is flat on her belly on the cool concrete just beside the nestbox in the shade.  Ivy too seems to be ducking into the shade and I suspect Cade will do the same thing, it's midday and 23.5c but 31c with the humidex.

I left around or so and fell fast asleep as soon as I got  back home.  Saoirse, Kinderchick & Jazzerkins were still there when I left.

Well I missed some excitement it seems.  :(, Lay down for a nap and everything happens! I could hear lots of commotion on the cam however. Well Bea is just sitting looking around now. Sure hope Cade is alright. Guess it was time he did take off and do some more practice flying and learn how to hunt and what not with his parents! Hope he comes back to roost a bit more though!  :D

Should have been more explicit with my last post.  At a distance, as the Peregrine is waddling back to the nest box it could be mistaken for a porcupine waddling along.  The tail of the peregrine dragging the same as a porcupines.
I too thought your analagy was perfect! But my mind was seeing the porcupine waddling across the highway, and almost every one gets struck by a car cause they move soo slow, and these cutey pies  can move like jack nibble quick! LOL I could see the resemblance right a way when Bea was on the ledge, and you said that Ellie! :)

Could there have been a food stash under the louvres?

No, they can just see under the louvres at certain points and what they can see a big open space (the roof) and it fascinates them.  Adults and chicks since the start of the program, they all do the same thing.

She just has to walk right on the edge so that she slips with one foot just to give us the "willies".

She seems to be watching someone do fly-bys,  but I don't think she's going anywhere until she does a little digesting.  Ha!   It use to be easy to see if their crops were full.

Hijacked the camera and had a look around but couldn't see him.  There is no wind today and he flew off to chase his parent which is normal - for the first 10 days after fledging, that is what the chicks do.  Just because he has only been flying for a few days don't assume that everytime he (or soon Beatrix) will crash everytime they take flight.  Their parents are starting to encourage them to fly and to chase them.  This is what they do, this is how they learn.  The fledgewatchers will find him perched somewhere soon or when he's finished playing with Dad or I'll find him with the webcam or he'll turn up back on the nestledge.  And of course, if something does happen we have people on the ground to find him (and soon her).

Let's just hope Cade didn't actually hit the wall or go down and that he's now perched somewhere else.  Too bad msdolittle with her iphone and real time fledge watch posting doesn't seem to be there anymore!  Where are you when we need you?!!! :)  I'm sure someone will let us know soon enough.  But for now, we wait... and wonder... and worry... :-[
