Two years ago at Richmond - all the babies died and the inside of the eggshells were black they said.

Sad news and something going on in Virginia - 4 eggs hatched, two babies dead after birth both here and today at Richmond the 2 new hatches both died right after hatching.

JJ is banded and is the son of James and his former longtime mate Victoria. From your site posted by Oxbarb... "The new male is 7/C, and was born in this nestbox in 2002. He is the son of James and Virginia. James and Virginia shared the same birthplace in Baltimore, and were a pair at JRB for many years."
