I think that the rain appears heavier on the webcam than it actually is.  I am not all that far away and I think that we are getting the same weather.  The camera is a bit of a distance away and zoomed in to see the nest, so on camera we are seeing all of the drops between the camera and the nest. If that makes any sense at all. ::)

I think tracy posted them somewhere else.  it's around here somewhere!

edit:  found it in the story from the winnipeg free press:

"The bin, which is about 58 centimetres long, 39 centimetres wide and 15 centimetres deep, "is high enough that even with three inches of gravel in it, there's still a little bit of a wall to protect them from the wind," the biologist said. "And they're well out of range of water coming up from below.""

"the biologist" would be TPC, of course.  :)

Ohhhhhh...the rain is making me nervous.......please please please let it be ok.  rain rain go away!!!!
Don't worry Marie.  I think that Princess will have an uncomfortable day but this isn't a situation like last year.  This is not a heavy rainfall and by the look of the weather radar the worst of it should be moving through in the next hour and then it should be back to a light rainshower.  Also now, thanks to Tracy, the family is up on several inches of gravel that is draining away the moisture.  I can't even see any puddles on the ledge outside of the box so that drain is easily handling this light rain. The chicks are also older and look super healthy.

I have to keep reminding myself that the bin is large.  Gosh, they really fill it up now!

Tracy, at banding do you anticipate removing the bin?
