the one in the middle doesn't seem to be getting as much, but boy, now that they are bigger it is ON. They are scrabbling for that food like crazy!!

And is it just me, or is it like Princess is in fast forward mode when she is feeding them? Her head bobs up and down so fast!!

edit: ok, feeding time is over, Princess just grabbed what looked like a *ew* leg to I guess dispose of over the ledge or something and now the chicks are having a walkabout, a kickabout and now a pile up.

edit: OK, I think this is Trey in the nestbox now, looks like he's doing some more feeding.

It's all good!  Princess has them covered.  Well, as much as she is able given the fact that they are so big and take up a lot more space.     It's looking peaceful on the ledge and the temp is 11, with some wind (gusts up to 16 kmh).

hey all....  I'll start us off again.  It's dark. 

but when it's dark, there is a nice reddish hue to the left side of the cam image.  So, that's my observation.

Am I not remembering correctly or was there a light on the nestbox last year? Or maybe that was the other side of the building - but I seem to remember being able to see the nest at night, not the total darkness that there is now. Not the glare that Elk River has, but enough light to be able to see the chicks.

I noticed that Princess is a typical Mom - she tries to get the kids to finish their food and then eats the remainder.  Well, just as long as she doesn't pull a hanky from under her wing and spit on it to clean their faces!
