1209 hrs (local) - for anyone that was watching Princess do an impression of a cat with a hairball, congratulations, you just saw a peregrine yak up a pellet (aka bones, feathers, beak - all the undigestible bits - of past meals).  Feel honoured, don't often see that ...

Marie, I am a former Maritimer, in London, Ontario, watching Princess. I was born in Nova Scotia actually.

It's been spitting off and on most of the morning downtown. Just enough to wet the street, nothing serious. I guess that's why she's not going anywhere. Temperature is 13 degrees, but without the sun, probably too cool for the chicks.

Don't know Bev's reasons for the hearts but I suspect its because the chicks are 9 days old today and the same age as their older siblings were when they died on Black Friday last year ...

Chick 1 & 2 definitely hatched on May 26, Chick 3 between sunset & sunrise on the 26/27th so might as well be 9 days too ...

Feed jsut finished and then Princess left and Trey came in and found a few bites for chick at back
and then Trey left ,chicks alone cuddling and now Princess has come back in and is sitting on them trying to keep them warm.
they are so cute as they try to keep warm when no one is home.
