Hello fellow "cammers"! I am a newbie (just activated today!) and am just learning about posting. I have been watching the baby chicks and following your blogs for several yrs. now and have finally decided to come out of the closet! I have really enjoyed watching these little guys snacking and sleeping. Is that Princess keeping them all tucked in right now, for their afternoon nap?

Oh yeah I like it "racing along a storm front"

Mom is back and the kids looked at her as if to say, "What No food?"

Like to think they are dreams of racing along the edge on a storm front rather than of plump pigeon legs ...

Very, very cute.
They are also getting pretty good at those poop shots. I saw a couple today and the box is begining to look "decorated".

1246 hrs (local) - okay, terminally cute time .... one of the chicks is starting to preen him/herself (normal starting at abou this age) and it looks like s/he keeps falling asleep mid-nibble ...

oh-oh, chick pile in the bin ...

1230 hrs (local) - suspect there will be more food shortly, none of the crops on those little guys looks nearly full enough to send them into a coma for the afternoon ...

thanks everyone for the welcome. I just came in to check on MY babies..lol  Just saw mom feeding them and now they are sun bathing. They sure are active right now and its so nice to see.
Bev...thank you for the beautiful slideshow. I guess today is a very special day for them. I had never heard of these Falcons nesting there before. I had only found out last Thursday. I keep asking myself where have I been? lol
Hope you are all enjoying your day now I am off to watch the wee ones.

1209 hrs (local) - for anyone that was watching Princess do an impression of a cat with a hairball, congratulations, you just saw a peregrine yak up a pellet (aka bones, feathers, beak - all the undigestible bits - of past meals).  Feel honoured, don't often see that ...

I do feel honoured I am new, and I was trying to figure out what she was doing. Very interesting!

Looks like the chicks are enjoying what might be a little warmth from the sun :) It's amazing how much more mobile they appear to be getting. Approx. how big would they be right now, it's hard to estimate.
