did I hear that Tracy is supposed to be on soon?

I saw Kinderchick posted that she should be on soon.  I'm hearing some song about monkeys?  I'm on the same station mine was on earlier - is that right?

Thank you to everyone who posted today about the banding.  Bev thank you for the slide shows.  Was so nice to see. Pchemist your interview was great. You did us all proud.  I did get to listen to that.  Look forward to more posts from bccs.  I have not noticed posts from Liz today. Mind you I did not look at everyone's name when I read the posts.  I couldn't keep up with them.
I live in the south end of Winnipeg.  It is getting quite dark here.  A lot of dark clouds to the south and it seems windy.  Hopefully it swings east and doesn't keep coming north.
Dennis I look forward to your photos.  I am patiently waiting.
And last but not least....great job Tracy and all your helpers on the swing stage.  Must have been scary.

again, two chicks all together by the drain lid and one by itself in the north corner.  All near the gravel from the tuppernest - perhaps it is comforting?

one chick is clearly now expert at creating its own air conditioning with mantled wings.   8)

Bccs, where were you?  I saw the platform, Tracy, two guys, one of whom waved at the camera while having a smoke (from what I could tell), and I did not see anyone else.  What did I miss?
Hey Eli, I was on the roof, not on the swing stage. My office is directly across from the nest ledge and have a wonderful view.
Apparently my image is now all over the world, Eye spy will pay dearly :o :o

bccs was on a roof-top of a neighbouring building. We saw bccs and Dennis twice briefly when eye-spy was rotating the camera around to give us all a view of the surrounding buildings. This was before the swing stage started rising up for the banding.

moka, doesn't sound like it will be on that show.  but perhaps on the one called "The Point" in pacific time?  In an hour?  I don't know!

but, since I heard the interview very personally, I suppose it shouldn't matter.  I'm just always fascinated what my voice sounds like to other people, because it doesn't sound that way to me!!

three happy chicks.  two hanging out in the gravel that came from the tuppernest.  interesting.  :)

That's a lot of pics Dennis.  I am anxious to see what things looked like from a different perspective.  Thanks for being our eyes in the sky.

Well now. What a day!!!!!
First, pchemist fabulous interview. ;D ;D
Second, that's road/sewer construction happening on Smith st.
3rd. Wow oh wow oh wow. What a day. ;D ;D
I'm going to post a bit at a time so I can tell all and not leave anything out.
When I saw that it really was a go today, I went and booked a 1/2 day holiday( very understanding boss) . Just easier that way, cause I knew that I'd be on the roof with Dennis for a good long while ( lucky me  :))
Met Dennis outside and made plans for the banding. During this, the swing stage had been set up and was ready to go.
I called the two unknown handsome guys you saw on the roof , our IT guys and the keepers of the roof access key.
Both wonderful, funny, charming and great to be around. Oh yea, did I say funny??????
Dennis started taking pictures from the minute we got up there ( the roof you saw us on is not available to staff, and one must get special permission to access. )
I had NOOOOOO idea that Eye-spy would be scoping out the neighbourhood ( naughty, naughty ES ).
If I had, I may have put on a tasteful little black party -frock. ::) Not a chance, that's my work attire, shorts and a t-shirt ( winter - jeans and a t-shirt ).
We all just kind of hung around, cracking jokes, hoping that Dennis hadn't fallen off the back part of the roof.
Couldn't spot T & P to save our lives.
And then the swing stage started its climb.
Gonna break here, things to do.

Camera tells me that I have 3.43GB = 857photos in about 45min = 19 photos per min. Now did have some calm time while both where perched and planning their next attack on the invaders of the ledge. This gave time to work out some strained muscles in the neck. Will take some time to go through photos...))
Cheers !

Actually that sand and construction is way across a very wide Portage avenue
on the north side.

I wonder how loud the traffic noise is up that high.
In 2007 all one could here of traffic was sirens, I think.
Or maybe that was another Falcon site. LOL
